GREEN TURTLE NIGHT NESTING

Witness the miracles of nature during this unforgettable turtle nesting experience in Tortuguero. You’ll meet your bilingual guide and venture into an assigned sector of the beach. Learn all about the history and lifestyle of sea turtles as you wait for turtles to arrive. When they do, you’ll observe the egg spawning, the compaction of eggs, camouflaging of the nest, and watch them return to the ocean.

The tour is available from July through October.

DAY TOUR

If you’re short on time in Costa Rica but want to see the country’s famous biodiversity beyond the concrete capital, this day trip to the Tortuguero National Park is ideal. Travel through the canals and lagoons on a boat and look out for toucans, crocodiles, sloths, iguanas, and much more. The highlight is seeing the sea turtle nesting sites on the beaches, which give the park its name.

NIGHT TOUR

See the forest come alive at night without getting lost in the dark when you join this guided night walk. With a small group (max. 10) you’ll set off down jungle trails with your flashlight in hand.
